Greetings everyone of all abilities,

Today I wish to give everyone some background information about the upcoming Meeting Mighty People Podcast episodes. I also will share why I chose those AMAZING MMP interviewees to discuss certain disabilities lifestyles and types of programs people with disabilities have access to?

Well Thank you to Easter Seals BC for allowing me, Alexis Folk, to interview the Easter Seals staff to find out more about the OUTSTANDING programs they provide for people with all types of disabilities no matter what.

1947,

History of Easter Seals BC, was originally started by BC Lions Clubs as they saw a need to help transport people with disabilities to medical appointments and many other therapies, and school.

By 1952, the Lions Clubs and other community leaders established the BC Lions Society for people with disabilities.

Finally by 1968, the first Easter Seals BC overnight summer camp opened in Winfield BC.

Campers learn tons of AWESOME life skills when at camp Easter Seals BC camps you’re paired with a camp worker all trained to work with people with challenges!

To end this blog off for today, I will say I’m looking forward to enjoying Easter Seals summer camp next year!
